Modems and the Internet

As far as modems are concerned, you can use many software packages. On Windows 3.1 itself, it has a program called 'Terminal' which you can use to send messages and to chat in general. However, if you wish to surf the internet and use it's own variety of free e-mail services, then you need to get hold of one of the following types of software:

AOL
NETSCAPE 3.0
GLOBALNET
LINEONE
